Hypholoma fasciculare
Commonly known as sulphur tuft, due to the bright yellow toadstools.
This fungi is thought to be a saprotrophe. It is often found on trunks, near ground level, or sprouting from fluting of the stem.
I have seen sulphur tuft mostly at the base of oak trees.
