Podoscypha multizona
I have seen Podoscypha near oak trees in parkland.
It is a rare, annual fungus that forms a mycorrhyzal association with oaks.
Podoscypha multizona at first glance can be mistaken for Sparassis crispa. On closer inspection, it is made up of small, tough fan shapes and has a distinct pink tinge. Sparassis is mostly found at the base of conifers.
