Daedalea quercina

The common name of this fungi is Maze-Gill.
The quercina part of the latin name refers to the fact it was first identified on oak (Quercus being latin for the oak genus). This is often the case with fungi nomenclature.
Maze-Gill is common on dead oak, sometimes even on oak beams. It is a saprotrophe.
